Mustang Built was founded by two retired Navy officers — both Mustangs, both graduates of the Navy's Nuclear Propulsion Program, both commissioned from the enlisted ranks after proving themselves from the ground up.
We served together aboard CVN 70. When we came home, we brought the same discipline, systems thinking, and commitment to execution that the nuclear Navy demands — and applied it to building something lasting in the communities we came from.
In the Navy, a Mustang is an officer who started enlisted. It means you earned your place. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, and the standard we look for in every operator we partner with.
Hwy 70 was our road home — through the small cities and rural communities of West Tennessee that shaped us. The fact that CVN 70 and Hwy 70 share a number is a coincidence we've chosen to take seriously.
